Walk out of this oceanfront, ground-floor unit and you are only a few steps away from the sand. No stairs or elevators are between you and the beach. The condo is one bedroom, one bath, and accommodates up to 4 persons. The newly redecorated bedroom includes a new queen bed with luxury linens and a new flat-screen TV with a DVD player. The remodeled kitchen is fully equipped including a microwave, blender, coffeemaker, toaster, and a large rice cooker. The new dining table and chairs are comfortable and relaxing while you enjoy your meal.


The living room has new furniture and includes a queen size sofa sleeper, CD player and TV with both DVD and VHS players along with a library of movies. Free Wireless internet is available. Two fold-out futons have been provided as an alternative to the sofa sleeper for small children. The living room ceiling fan allows for a soft breeze when windows are opened to the ocean.

The lanai offers new furnishings including a lounge chair and outdoor dining for 4 with unobstructed views of the ocean, outriggers, and Maui sunsets. A full-sized washer/dryer is included in this condo to handle all your laundry needs.

Note: Each year the pool will be closed for repairs for two weeks, starting the second week of September. This year (2023) the Sugar Beach Resort pool area will be closed beginning 9/11/23 and reopening 9/25/23.

  We were lucky to stay in unit 132! It was clean comfortable and a great location. We felt right at home. The unit was well equipped with anything we needed. The ground floor was awesome. The lanai seemed much larger as it was open to the grass. It also gave us more of a social experience with other guests. We have stayed at Sugar Beach for 7 other times in different suites. So most were great but we really enjoyed unit 132. A hop step to the beach, the BBq and the pool. Perfect. We were able to watch the whales right off the lanai! Bring your binocs for a great view. The location of Sugar beach gives you easy access to highways that take you all over the island. We enjoy the board walk at the Kaealia Ponds minutes away. Great birding. So many wonderful memories. Thanks The condo association was also a great help to us with friendly and fast service.

  My daughter and I had a great Thanksgiving vacation and stayed at the Sugar Beach Resort. We enjoyed all the amenities offered. I was originally attracted to this location due to the ocean front and central Maui location. The beach was within 50 feet of our Lanai. The waves sounded great. No complaints about the room or parking. I would definitely recommend and look forward to returning soon.

  We were a bit disappointed with the unit as it did not have a safe or ceiling fan in the bedroom as did other units we have rented, Oceanfront, before. Also the queen size bed was a downgrade form kings in the past. When we arrived there was no power in the unit so it took awhile for me to find the circuit breaker in the dark to switch it back on. I couldn`t ubderstand why the person who caused it to break didn`t do that when it happened - cleaners perhaps.

  Overall a great condo. Minor hassles - need to get your own coffee, coffee filter for the coffeemaker, dish detergent (very little provided), laundry detergent, sugar, and various other condiments. Kitchen wasn’t stocked even with basics. Pretty much need to make a shopping trip as soon as you arrive while you are on a vacation. Not sure why these basic things are not provided like any other condo rentals. View of the ocean from the living room is a great plus.
