  This property has a beautiful view in a well- maintained complex in a convenient location. The condo has a nice layout with a comfortable bed. It could use a few updates to the living room furniture to increase comfort. Also the kitchenware could use some replacements, particularly the cutlery and silverware.

  The Airbnb visual posting was accurate. The view and interior were as shown. The overall property is VERY nice with the public interior area gardens and the pools (design and upkeep) were beautiful. There were a few amenities we did not know existed since they were not listed (or I missed them) and then tucked away in the housekeeping closet behind the vac and mop, aka beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie board.
  The place was neat and clean except for the bathroom which needed a little more attention to detail. There was mold visible on the grout, pole in shower and walls/ceiling. The floor tile was also dirty in areas and there was a hint of urine smell near the toilet. Probably just needs a better disinfecting cleaning.
  We had a few issues - sliding door in living room would fall off the track easy but my husband was able to fix it easily. The ceiling light/fan had a few issues with the control but a handyman came in and fixed it. That same fan in the bedroom made a clicking noise (obvious at night when trying to sleep) but Austin worked with us to get it fixed.
  Took a few days but he kept us posted on the status and followed through until the end. Excellent customer service.
  The location is perfect for walking on the beach (walked North each morning) and is close driving to local restaurants (we did walk South toward town but there really isn't a good sidewalk/shoulder). We loved and went back multiple times to Coconuts (explosion of flavors fish tacos), Paia Fish Market (great fresh fish and flavorful potatoes) and 808 Deli (delicious sandwiches - great to take to the beach). Our favorite beach is Makena which is not that far from the condo.
  We would definitely recommend Kauhale Makai to friends and family and would love to return.

  I stayed at Kauhale Makai for a week, and I though it was a great location in Maui. The condo is near the beach, and near Kihei shopping and food center. If you like a relaxed atmosphere, this condo is that. The place was clean, there is a pool and hot tub, which we used everyday, and there was AC and kitchen utensils. Overall great place to stay!

  The 6th floor unit had outstanding ocean views. Well appointed kitchen for convenient meal preparation.

  Fantastic location and being on the top floor provided the best sunset views. Kihei was a great town with all the delicious bars and restaurants you could want. It’s not a resort beach but it’s close enough to Wailea to not be an issue. We do wish the condo was stocked a bit better with more towels and toiletries. That’s the only issue. Everything was paradise.
