Post date: 6/23/23. Hawaiian Electric needs to replace the power lines connecting to the property. Power will be out for 6-hour phases, 2 times per week. This Aloha themed two-bedroom S. Kihei vacation rental located on the 4th floor has all the ingredients for a memorable stay on Maui. The sunlight and wide layout of the living room create an ideal space to sit back and enjoy the flat screen television. There are also two rocking chairs for an added comfort. The kitchen also has a beautiful glass dining set and all the appliances you need to create your perfect home away from home. There is a spiral staircase to the master bedroom loft area which features a Simmons Beauty Rest king mattress. The ensuite bathroom allows for a large mirror vanity with a full bath. The guest bedroom located on the main level has two twin beds that convert into a king bed upon request (prior to arrival). Additional sleeping option for up to 6 guests with a Queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Keep cool with the ocean breezes, ceiling fans plus a window AC unit in the living room area. TV’s are provided in the living room and both bedrooms. Bonus: the owner of this S. Maui vacation rental provides plenty of beach gear for maximum guest enjoyment.

  We came to Maui for an eight day stay to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary. The property was wonderful however certain units are not maintained as well as others. During our stay our air conditioning didn’t work, our washing machine had a leak that affected units below us, and our oven elements went out. Our relatives next door had a unit that you could tell was taken much better care of. If there is a difference in quality of units cost should also be different. The location is wonderful as well as the property. Just wished we didn’t have to deal with a sub par condo that was clearly not maintained.

  My family and I stayed at this condo unit the second week in July, 2022. First of all, we really appreciated the attention to cleanliness and organization. There was an exceptionally well-stocked beach toy closet where we could find everything we needed for our trip and more. The linens and towels were lovely and the kitchen was very functional with everything we needed for cooking most meals in the condo. The reason I cannot give this place four or five stars is due to the air-conditioning situation. The condo has a master bedroom and a loft area. The other bedroom is at the front of the unit. There is one single window unit air conditioner for the entire condominium space. If I had to guess, the unit was designed to cool maybe 400 ft.2. The condo is easily double or triple that size. As a result, my two teenage sons sleeping on the first floor bedroom were hot every night forced to sleep in a room that was easily 80 or more degrees. At one point they resorted to sleeping on the family room floor underneath the AC unit. My husband and I were in the upstairs bedroom which was no better. We were frequently unable to fall asleep or stay asleep due to the extreme heat. The daytime temperatures while we were there were in the mid to upper 80s and the second floor loft reflected this. As an additional frustration, although there were floor fans in every room, one of them broke Midway through the stay. They weren’t really helping anyway so we didn’t bother to call to report it.

  The location of the actual unit 10 is the closest to the beach no need to lugged chairs and equipment too far. The unit is clean, but air condition unit is only in the living room- the first bedroom is really stuffy even with fans provided. The first bedroom had some broken chest drawers. The kitchen has all you need to cook. We would stay there again. We did not use the pool or the gym ( the gym needs a bench )

  The unit is much smaller than the other 2bdms, the owners keep so much personal stuff there it leaves little room for the renters.
  We use to live in building 5 and always stay at the Kamole Sands, it’s a great place and there are lots of units to choose from, stay away from this unit. It looks like it was furnished with garage sale furniture, and the unit being so small the owners have over stuffed it, making a small unit feel even smaller.
  The lift bdm the bed takes up almost all the room, and they have an old solid wood frame for the bed that takes up even more room. Nothing good to say about this unit. I would never rent this one again. They charge 2 made up fees just for registration, the cleaning fee is far overpriced for what they do, in my opinion, don’t rent this unit you will be disappointed.

  The rental is a bit dated and there is too much tchotske, there was not a lot of place to set things down, the lamps and pots were all oversized. Would be great to see these become more minimalized. The guest closets were stuffed full of things that they were basically unusable. Two large vacuums in example. There's a lot of opportunity for consolidation. On the flip side all of the beach and snorkel and kid stuff was very nice to have.
