This one bedroom garden view condo has ocean views in the distance. This unit will accommodate up to four (4) people with a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out sofa bed in the living room. The furnishings are a mixture of rattan with tropical accents and hosts more than enough seating space. The living room features a Flat screen TV. This property is located across the street from the Kamaole Beach II and it is a short walk to other beaches, as well as shopping and dining options.

  We had a fantastic time staying at Kihei Akahi D209. The furniture had been updated, there were several fans available and the kitchen was well stocked. The balcony gives a ringside seat for enjoying ocean views and sunsets. We made full use of the beach chairs available since it was such a short walk to the ocean.

  It was 46 years ago we stayed in this complex and it was new then. Dont remember much about that but the unit was updated very nice with lots of contertop which we loved and used. The dishes were somewhat lacking and you would not have enough for the dishwasher if you put them all in but we really don;t use the dishwasher anyway. Been coming for 47 years now for 4 to 6 weeks as it is a great break from Alaska.We missed the last two years so did so much catching up with friends we didn't use amy of the beach equipment but looked like there was lots there.Loved having a chair along with the couch as we read morning and night. We are looking for another unit in this complex (d building) as we like the view both ways.

  Condo has beautiful ocean view. Very clean and ‘bug free’ had everything you need for spending the day at the beach... less than 5 minute walk to the beach. Fully equipped kitchen, gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, full size frig. It overlooks the pool which has two very clean grills. It doesn’t have AC, and our stay in mid-late October was in the lowers 90s during the day and didn’t cool off much at night. Although equipped with ceiling fans and floor fans running it was warm sleeping at night. But location made up for being uncomfortable at night. We suggest the owners invest in blackout drapes to help keep the heat out during the day or install window AC. Definitely would stay here again. Couch and bed were quite comfortable and had cable TV. Easy walk to many restaurants, shops and grocery if you don’t rent a car. If you do have a car rental, you have an assigned parking spot. 4+++stars for this place.

  Kihei Akahi is a great place to stay if you want to be walking distance to beaches and restaurants. We always stay for longer stretches so hotels are not a good option. Having the option to cook and bbq at home was a nice option. D209 was clean and in good condition. They provided beach towels and beach chairs, laundry soap and cleaning supplies, and pretty much any amenity you could need for a two week stay. Our only suggestion would be for them to install an air conditioning unit, as the small fans were not enough to combat the heat from the sun that blares into living room mid-afternoon.

  As a family who got together from australia, California and Arizona, we rented five different units. This one was the only one without air conditioning and during July it was nearly intolerable. Thank God the rest of my family was in other units that they could go to during the day when it was the hottest. All other accommodations were absolutely wonderful, the unit is decorated well and very efficient for a small family. It just doesn't have air conditioning and that is an issue when it's so hot. We would definitely come back and rent again, but probably not this unit during the summer, however I would recommend it any other time of the year for sure. The staff is wonderful, the location is fabulous and we had a wondrous time.

  Kihei Akahi is perfectally located on South Kihei Rd - close to all amenities including really great restaurants, ice cream store, liquor store, grocery store, great coffee and breakfast cafes, pharmacy, etc.
  
  The closest beach is Kam 2 and it's wonderful. Great sand and warm water. It can be windy early afternoon. The best time we found was early morning until lunch and then again after 3. The sunsets are spectacular from your lanai and/or from the beach.
  
  We stayed in building D (top of the hill) and had the perfect view of the sunset (even from the second floor). The bar b q area is enclosed within the pool area and a very quick walk. We bar b q'ed a lot. Very clean. Every morning the pool area and barbecues were cleaned. The grounds are beautifully kept. The condo we stayed in (D209) had brand new furniture and appliances and a comfortable rollout couch/bed.

  The condo was just as the photos showed. It is located in an area of amazing beaches and a good selection of restaurants. Check in was easy . The condo was clean and the furniture comfortable. It was nice having access to beach chairs which we used daily. We would definitely check to see if it was available on our next vacation.

  We always enjoy our vacations in Maui and South Kihei is always our base. The Kihei Akahi is a perfect location, as it’s close to a number of favourites (Moose’s, Cafe Olei sushi bar) and is walkable to many spots. Our condo had everything we needed (beach chairs, umbrella, an upgraded kitchen) and although the unit needed a couple basics refreshed the condo mgr (with support from the owners) were responsive and quick to do so. The unit was also getting a refresh after Christmas (the owners let us know they had also been unable to visit themselves for the last couple years!).
  Would happily stay here again!
